A place of employment, creativity and learning
With the London Metropolitan University moving in 2026, we want to make sure that this place continues as a place of learning and education. We will create a state-of-the-art home for Higher Education, with purpose-built education facilities. Next door will be a new building for high quality Student Accommodation.
Undertaking the development will also allow us to create a base for a local educational charity and improve the streetscape and public realm for everyone. Local people will be able to walk through the site on an internal walkway linking Old Castle and Goulston Streets. Lecture rooms and classrooms off this walkway will be available for community use after hours.
